Ophthalmic Drug Delivery Systems
ZTECH-L™ and ZTECH-P™ ophthalmic drug delivery systems are designed for dispensing drug, biopharmaceutical, biologic and botanical theraputics for treating glaucoma, macular degeneration, presbyopia, allergy, dry eye, anti-viral, anti-infective and anti-inflammatory indications. Our delivery systems employ a patient-centric design to facilitate self-administration, ease of use and compliance. Our ergonomic design simplifies patient usage, reducing administration errors and waste typically found with traditional eye drop delivery devices. These unique capabilities provide superior cost economics for patients, third party payors and drug manufacturers.
ZTECH-L™ delivery systems can be configured for aqueous and non-aqueous liquid formulations spanning a broad range of fluidic properties. ZTECH-P™ ophthalmic delivery systems can be configured to auto-reconstitute a dry powder formulation to a liquid, or auto-combine two separately packaged liquid formulations at the time of dosing by the patient or caregiver.

The AquilaMR multi-dose ophthalmic delivery system utilizes a reloadable twenty (20) dose cartridge for precision dosing of preservative free ophthalmic drug formulations. The AquilaMR operates in any physical orientation and can be calibrated to dispense a precise dose ranging from 5 µL to 26 µL. The AquilaMR’s ultra compact “credit card” size design makes it easy to carry in a purse or a pocket. An optional use folding eyeguide aids in proper positioning of the dispenser to ensure accurate delivery to the eye. Each dose is individually packaged with a single use dispensing channel to maintain sterility of every delivered dose. An easy to read dose counter informs the patient when it is time to replace the clip which is a simple process of sliding open the top of the dispenser, discarding the spent clip and dropping in a new clip. Operating the AquilaMD dispenser is a simple three step process, index the device, position the device to the eye and press the dispense button – no priming is required. Safety features prevent the device from inadvertent dispense.
